Accidental Collection

I found this awesome old phone coin bank at an antique mall in Mt. Dora yesterday. It made me realize that I'm now apparently collecting old (or new?) weird coin banks. This is my third one. It's quite the ironic collection for someone who's bad at saving money.

Of course, two of the banks contain coinage. It's just that one of them doesn't open.

The new owl friend in our backyard

He was hanging out in the neighbor's backyard and Jen saw him fly into one of our trees. He just chilled out there for a bit. He wasn't bothered by us staring and taking pictures. He was, perhaps, a little groggy from just starting his day.

The vet thinks that Poofy has Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP). Unfortunately, there is really nothing that can be done for this disease.

We're force-feeding her because she won't eat. She's taking an appetite enhancing medication and antibiotics. She basically does nothing but lie around.

It doesn't look good. We're doing all that we can to make her feel better and hopefully get as better as she can.

Please keep her in your thoughts/prayers/whatever-type-of-thing-you-do. She needs all the lovin' she can get.

So, there's a good part of SoulPancake that I'm not so hip to (you know, the "soul" part):
